Welcome to the one-year anniversary quarantine.
I hope you’re all doing well and still safe this March.
Posts since the last update:
Happy New Year 2021
(I think we were all glad to say goodbye to The-Year-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named.)
5 Good Sources of Writing Prompts
(because some inspiration for another year of writing was very needed.)
Reflecting on Five Years of Parenthood
(in honor of my son’s 5th birthday!)
Black History Lettering Art
(a collection of quotes and artwork in honor of Black History Month)
This year, I finally launched a book blog.
From now on, in addition to bi-weekly posts here, I will also be posting book reviews and other related content on my other blog.
This year, Kj is 5 years old!
We already filled out the enrollment paperwork for kindergarten this fall! (Fingers crossed that school is actually in-person by then, because I don’t know what I’ll do if I have to make a 5-year-old focus on Zoom-meeting classes.)
I can’t believe how fast he’s growing!
Josh is still working from home, and probably will be for several more months, at least. We’re thankful that he can stay safe at home.
In his spare time, Josh is still working on game development, but has also taken some time to do more reading and learning, and finding ways to improve the game development process.
Last year, I made my focus trying to make time for as many creative things as possible, because it was too hard to decide what was important to me. This year, I’ve narrowed my focus to only a few things. The two things taking the front seat are writing, and making game art.
That’s all I have for this update.
